Sauna Rental Information:

How many people does the sauna accommodate?

  • The sauna comfortably seats 6-8 adults.

What is included in the rental?

  • Setup and orientation on how to safely operate the sauna

  • Enough propane for the rental duration

  • A bucket and ladle to create some high quality steam

  • Towels and a waterproof bluetooth speaker

  • Exterior shower (requires access to a hose)

Where can the sauna be set up?

  • The mobile sauna requires an authorized, safe, and easily accessible location on private property for parking and operation, with the renter responsible for ensuring compliance with sauna operation, including the propane-burning stove.

  • The sauna trailer has a small footprint (12’L x 8’W x 9’H) and will fit most driveways. Please ensure that the setup location is free from any overhead obstructions, such as low-hanging branches or wires, and combustible materials to guarantee a safe and enjoyable experience.

  • Please note that adverse weather and/or road conditions may prevent the delivery. Especially for extremely steep driveways/locations where we aren’t able to safely level the sauna.

  • We will be in contact after booking to create a plan for your sauna oasis setup.

  • Not sure if your space will work? Send us an email with a few photos and your concerns.

Where do you deliver?

  • Our main deliveries are in the Tahoe area and delivery fees are based on the rental location.

  • Live outside of the Tahoe area? Have dreams of having a sauna at your cabin for a weekend? Send us an email and we can try to accommodate you.

Can I bring food and drinks into the sauna?

  • We encourage you to stay hydrated while using the sauna, but ask that any food be consumed outside the sauna.

  • We do not allow the use of alcoholic beverages before or during your sauna use.

  • We recommend using a non-glass or non-metal water bottle in the sauna.

How is the sauna heated?

  • The sauna is a traditional (dry) sauna and is heated by a Scandia Propane Stove that pumps out 40,000 BTUs.

Does the sauna have lights?

  • Yes, the sauna has an outdoor coach light and the inside is lined with warm white LED lights.

How long does the sauna run?

  • The Scandia Propane Stove has a one-hour timer that can be continuously reset for longer sessions. Please follow the safety guidelines provided for optimal sauna session durations.

How long does a propane tank last and what happens if I run out?

  • If used properly, a single five gallon propane tank can run the stove on full blast for up to 8 - 10 hours.

  • You should have ample fuel for your rental, but please contact us if the propane does run out.

How does the cold plunge work?

  • Our cold-plunge is built within our sauna trailer and insulated and covered while not in use.

  • The temperature is dependent on how much ice is added to the cold-plunge and how many people are cycling through it in a given session.

How do you clean the sauna?

  • After every rental, our saunas are cleaned with highly effective natural products from top to bottom—no harsh cleaning chemicals required. The sauna reaches up to 200 degrees, which acts as a natural disinfectant during the post cleaning drying process.

  • In addition, our sauna is made from cedar which is naturally anti-fungal and anti-bacterial.

Can renters move the sauna?

  • The sauna is not to be moved by renters under any circumstance. If renters would like to have the sauna moved, please contact us to request it be moved. Moving the trailer will be dependent on the location.

  • If renters move the trailer, they may be held liable for any damages to the sauna trailer, property, and any harm to any individuals.

General Sauna Information:

How hot does the sauna get?

  • The sauna heats to about 150-200 degrees Fahrenheit.

I’ve never used a sauna before or operated a propane stove, is that okay?

  • Yes, we will spend as much time as needed at drop-off to have you comfortably and safely operating the sauna stove before we leave. We will also happily discuss our favorite ways to use the sauna.

How should I prepare for the sauna?

  • Ensure you are well hydrated, dressed appropriately in a swimsuit or light cotton clothing if preferred.

  • It's ok to eat a light snack before your session but it's not recommended to eat a large meal before using the sauna.

  • We recommend bringing a bottle of water, a towel to sit on, and a towel to dry off with during/after your sauna session.

  • Consult a medical professional to make sure you are healthy enough to use the sauna.

What are some best practices?

  • Listen to your body: This isn’t a competition to see who can stay inside the longest. Feeling too hot? Notice your heart rate escalating? Leave the sauna and cool down. We suggest using the sauna in cycles. 10-15 minutes of hot, followed by a 5+ minute cool-down / cold plunge before going back in the sauna for another round. A typical sauna session consists of 2-4 “rounds” rotating between the hot sauna and cooling down outside, taking a cold rinse, or plunge.

  • Stay hydrated: Hydrate with plenty of water before, during, and after your session.

  • Relax breathe: Enjoy the heat, enjoy the views, and enjoy your company.
